In 1826 in "Sárvár" breeding began in the royal bavarian private stud based on british halfblood and Furioso-North Star, main stallions were mostly from Mezähegyes. The base is formed of three mares from 1926 to 1930. On the basis of the consistent selection, genetiv balance and effiency were stable. Since 1875 the Leutstettener horse is an independent type of horse. In 1945 the horse were transferred to Leutstetten.
Nowadays you can find them in the south of Munich, in stud Leutstetten. Breedingbook began 1826 and until then in gapless.
